High School
I've always had a high affinity for computers and technology. However, it wasn't until high school when I began developing a diverse number of skills. I took a wide array of CE classes such as, Web Development, C++ Programming (2 years), Video Game Development, Adobe Graphic Design, Engineering and Robotics, Machine-Aided Manufacturing, and IT Fundamentals.
Utah Broadband
Leading after High School, I got my first entry level IT job at Utah Broadband (UBB), an internet telecom company based in Draper, UT. I was a field technician specializing in configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting networks at residential and commercial sites. My job description depended on the day, I'd do anything from conducting site surveys for wireless LAN networks, to splicing fiber optic cabling for new installations. I learned a lot from UBB but was growing bored and knew I could grow my skills even further.
WILSON AUDIO / RELCAP
Working at Wilson Audio in the Capacitor department part-time has allowed me to attend MTECH and accrue my technical skills and certifications. However, my time at Wilson has taught me valuable technical skills as well. I conduct quality assurance and fine-tuning of the capacitors used in audiophile speakers. This demands upholding Wilson's internal objective: "Excellence in all things". Working there has also given me the opportunity to streamline and optimize the manufacturing process, and work with industrial machinery.
Mountainland Technical College
While attending MTECH I graduated from the Information Technology and Cybersecurity course. It covers computer hardware and software, networking, operating systems, mobile devices, network security, cloud technology, and information assurance. I learned through practical simulations and labs that prepared me for industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+.
